The busiest time of day is when I get home after picking the boys up. Even busier than the mornings because (usually) I have Mike to help in the mornings. When we get home, Tate always wants to eat right away, Cole wants a snack, we have to unpack bags, lunches to make for the next day, and the list goes on and on...
After I get everyone fed and settled down, I usually let the boys play in the living room for a few minutes while I wash bottles and unpack and re-pack Cole's lunch box. Yesterday was no different than usual, except when I walked back in the living room after 3 minutes to check on the boys, this is what I saw:
Cole said that they wanted to watch television. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I can say that I am very thankful that Tate was just sitting, and had not tried to crawl off the couch. Clearly, the 5 year-old is not to be left in charge (even for 3 minutes)!
I am waiting for the day when Justus does this with Delaney. She will immediately lunge for the floor too, I just know it. I love the innocence of the picture--Cole is clearly very proud of himself. :-) Too cute!
