Central Texas or Bust?

Seeing our families in central Texas this past weekend was a success! The (long) car rides, the (very) sick baby, and the (cranky and) tired parents, were a bust, however.  Here are pictures of the better times...

The oldest in my family holding the youngest: if we could all be as happy as they, how great would life be?!

Papa Jim ROCKS!

Mamaw Cass, Tate, Mom

Who's ready for the picnic?!

The birthday boy needs to eat, too.
(Can we all have as many birthday celebrations as THIS KID?)

Posing with his Papa Jim and Mimi

Opening presents, including a leaf blower... the favorite! (If you know his OCD Dad, you realize that Cole wanted this because Mike blows the leaves every day. And, no, we're not complaining.)

Eye protection is key.

Mimi and Tate (before he spent half the night coughing up one lung.)

We were THIS CLOSE to the train tracks. Cole was in awe!

Baca and her boys at bedtime. These boys LOVE their Baca.

We got in a great visit with John, too, at a new facility.  He was very happy to see the boys (and who wouldn't be.)

After we got home, Cole entertained Tate with his new Thomas the Tank Engine bubble blower from Mamaw Cass.  Pardon the baby in the diaper only... you know I hate this, but he was sick and had just had a mess all in his diaper. I needed him in the stroller for 5 minutes while I watered our dying mums.
