I make lists often. Not as often as my mom (shout-out, Lynn!), but several times a week - for both work and home. I was making a list last night (i.e., 2:15 am when I was up with Tate) in my head about some topics I wanted to include on the blog. I don't have enough to write an entire post on each one, so I'm making this a random list of mini-blogs. Here goes...
1. Best words I've ever heard: "Mommy, that is my mess. I should clean it up." Well, Amen, Cole. AMEN.
2. Best noise I've ever heard: Tate clapping. He just started clapping yesterday, and he is so proud of himself. Last night while I was feeding him, he started clapping after each bite. He is like the poster child for anti-eating disorders.
3. Tubby actually is slimming down. He still has a nice round face, and a nice round belly, and fat little feet, but I think all of the crawling is really burning some calories.
4. Paper towel tubes do not hold spray paint.
5. I may or may not be posting the professional picture that was taken of Tate at "school" yesterday. You see, I dressed him in cute little jeans, a red polo, and those adorable gray Tiny Toms. I picked him up and the shoes were nowhere to be found on him or in his bag. Apparently, they never made it out of Mike's truck when Mike dropped Tate off yesterday morning. I know, it isn't the end of the world to have a professional picture taken of a 9.5 month-old with bare feet. And I am happy that I have a healthy and happy baby, no matter what he wears. (Read: I'm still mad.)
6. We are taking a tour of East Texas this weekend. Here's the low-down:
- Friday afternoon parade at Brook Hill for Cole in Bullard
- Friday night Halloween Party for Cole in Tyler
- Saturday early morning pictures for our Christmas cards in north Tyler
- Saturday afternoon The Great Pumpkin train ride at the Texas State Railroad in Rusk
- Sunday karate tournament in Longview
Someone just shoot me now.
7. My friend Shelly designed the new blog for me. She is awesome and talented, and has two adorable kids to boot! She's actually so good that we have retained her to design our holiday cards this year - we will have completely custom cards. My friends ROCK!
