Busy Birthday Boy

Cole's birthday was B.U.S.Y. We started the morning with the early present (from yesterday's post). He headed off to school, and I met him up there in the afternoon to celebrate his birthday with his class.

The class sang "Happy Birthday," and Cole was completely embarrassed.

Then the class got to enjoy these green pudding cups that I made.  It was vanilla pudding dyed green with crushed Oreos on top; I drew the Frankenstein faces onto the cups.

I also made little favors for the class.

Cole opened some presents when we got home from school.  A cool ant farm and face paint from the Garners, a card with "real money" from Mamaw Cass, and clothes and rubber horseshoes from Aunt Kayla, Uncle Hunter and Sawyer.  Here he is practicing his toss.

After that, we went to karate. It was the first night of sparring. Cole loved it.  This isn't a great picture because I took it with my cell phone and he was far away, but you get the idea.

Von came home with us from karate to spend the night because his parents and grandparents are out of town. It was a good birthday treat for Cole, and the boys were great. Sadly, Mike didn't get home until after everyone was in bed, so we saved Cole's big present for this morning (Thursday).

I'd say the new Kickboard scooter was a huge hit!!

He even got in one quick ride before school. (Yes, Mother, he also got a brand new Razor helmet, which didn't make it on his head before he ran out the door to try out the new ride.)

Party is this weekend. Pictures of wild and crazy boys to come... Pray for us now :)
