Ten on Tuesday

A perfect edition of Ten of Tuesday!

1. What’s the perfect meal?

I have three answers to this, in no particular order.

(1) A good cut filet mignon, seasoned and grilled by Mike, with baked sweet potatoes, asparagus, and Keyna K's salad with goat cheese, apples, and homemade dressing.

(2) My Mamaw's fried chicken, creamed potatoes, fruit salad, and chocolate cake. 
(3) Anything my dad cooks.

There is drool on my keyboard. Maybe I should not have answered this when I was hungry.

2. What are the perfect pair of shoes?
My Chaco flip flops. If you read my blog or know me at all, you would have known the answer to this without me even typing it.

3. What is the perfect afternoon?
Any time spent not working and hanging out with my boys - all 3 of them - outside. 

4. What’s the perfect house?
Ready for some cheese....?  A house filled with love.  Okay, even I made myself throw up on that answer.  But seriously, we live in an amazing house. As nice as it is, we have it listed for sale. I would trade this perfect house for more time with my kids and husband in a smaller one.

5. What is the perfect outfit?
Shorts or jeans, a cute tank top, and Chacos. See a repeating theme here?

6. What’s the perfect wedding song?
Billy Joe Shaver's "Live Forever," of course.

7. What is the perfect job?
"Perfect job" is an oxymoron.

8. What’s the perfect hairstyle?

My friend Reagan's hairstyle: whatever it may be at the moment. The style doesn't matter because her hair is so thick and straight, with body, that it always looks great. Plus, it is the same color as mine, which is the only attribute of mine that I think is close to perfect. Her hair always looks so amazing that I would hate her if she wasn't my BFF.


9. What’s the perfect music festival?
Any Texas Country music festival, especially if REK or the Bellamy Brothers are involved. King of Leon would be fun, though I haven't seen them in concert. My brother says they put on a great show.

10. What’s the perfect day to yourself?

Enjoying a big chai tea latte in bed or on the patio, with the laptop or iPad, to start off the day, a pedicure, some shopping, and then home in the afternoon to play with the boys and Mike and enjoy some wine and music on the back patio.  I only like so much "alone time."
