I've posted this on Facebook, e-mailed my friends, and I am blogging it, too. I am SO THANKFUL that my younger brother, John Hunter, is arriving home safe from a year tour in Afghanistan. He is coming home today to a wonderful wife, a beautiful 9 month old son, and happy sister, brother-in-law, nephews, and other family. We are humbled by his service and sacrifice. We are proud of his promotion to Captain last year and assignment as Company Commander.
(We also think it is really cool that he met Secretary of Defense Robert Gates!)
Such an awesome day! I feel so blessed to know him and all of the time he gave (and continues) to protect my own family. Thank you HUNTER!!!!
