Overexposed

We had a very low key weekend, which we all desperately needed.  We stayed at home both nights, but spent a lot of time at the plant nursery and even more time outside in the flower beds both days.

The bluebonnets are out and I wanted to snap some pictures of the boys in a pretty patch not far from our house.  Read: Terrible idea.
The light and the boys' (Mike included) attitudes left much to be desired.  The proof:

We left the roadside and headed to church and the hot dog lunch afterward... where Mike and I realized after we purchased tickets that we couldn't eat because we gave up beef for Lent.  I'm sure Cole and Tate enjoyed their $21 hot dog lunch.  (It was for a great cause so obviously we didn't mind, but I was laughing at the irony!)

We let the munchkins run around the sprinklers on Sunday afternoon.  Again, the light was too bright for good quality photos but at least I captured their huge smiles.

Here's to hoping this week is better than last, or at least that these precious smiles will help us make it through!

  1. There was a bright side to bad lighting. The rainbow in the pic of Cole running through the sprinkler is awesome.

  3. I love the last picture of Cole in the blue bonnets. Such a "are you really making me do this, mom?" look...and that last picture of Tate is just too cute for words.

  5. I love these! It's like you said--the big kids just don't think we are as entertaining, for some unknown reason. They get that look on their face like "Ok, mom. You get one chance to get this thing right, and then I'm out. Sooo, good luck with that." Oh. so. cooperative. aren't they. :-) Super cute though, no matter what!!
