Family - love 'em. No really, I love mine. Last week was Cole's Spring Break. Instead of spending the week cooped up watching television and playing with the same old toys while we worked, his grandparents gleefully agreed to keep him. He stayed one night with Mike's mom and she took him to McDonald's and then to Cabela's. She sent him home with a camouflage puppy stuffed toy. Truly something only Baca would buy ;) He LOVES it. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of it to show you. Trust me, you aren't.
He next went to stay at my mom and Jim's. Papa Jim took him fishing almost every day, and to McDonald's twice. He caught too many catfish to count, caught two at one time on a single pole, and caught one pregnant with eggs (see Wordless Wednesday from last week.)
He also spent time with his great grandma, Mamaw Cass, and my cousin Heather and her THREE girls. He had a BALL!! Here he is with Rieley, twins Sophie & Harper, and Papa Jim in the Mule.
In other family news, my SIL Kayla turned 29 yesterday. For real. I love her more than words can express. For real. The boys sported their St. Patrick's Day green and picked out a camouflage "Happy Birthday" balloon at the grocery store for Aunt Kayla. It was fun... until Tate untied it from the clip and we watched it float away.
Saturday afternoon and evening we hung out as a family and played in the yard.
Cole in stealth mode:
Performing tricks on the 4-wheeler
Tate, yes Tate, caught this tail-less lizard
He also "caught" a plastic one ;)
Handsome overload
Water balloons!
We had an amazing weekend as a family and Mike said it best when he said on Saturday afternoon that he wouldn't rather be anywhere else.
Our twin nieces, Grace & Kasia, turned 2 last Monday and had a party over the weekend. If only we were closer to Denver! We love and miss them.
Lastly, today marks the 75th year since the London High School exploded from a natural gas leak in New London, Texas in the worst school disaster in history. My great uncle was a victim of the blast and Tate is named for him. His younger sister, my grandmother, survived. I will never be as strong, kind, classy, or caring as she... but I hope that I (and these two boys) made her proud.

Family does rock! And your little family is darling!
