Keepin' It Real [Updated]

As much as I love to document our family in lovely photos and captions, I feel sometimes that I need to tell you the truth...

Santa brought the boys a puppy. And Tate a fever, and me the FLU (shot-resistant strain), and Mike the SHINGLES.  And 24/7 freezing rain for 3 days while we try to potty train the puppy.

In the midst of this horrible, horrible fate, we have to find a little humor.

Tate, while bringing me a jar of Nutella for a snack: "Mommy, this is NOT yucky."

Tate, while climbing in the pantry and pulling out a box of brownie mix: "Daddy, you can make this for me for breakfast.  It's yummy."

Here he is with his first model plane.  He used some of his Christmas money from Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Schut to purchase this plane, and I was pretty impressed with his painting job.  I helped only a very little.  He has been playing with it all weekend!

In good news, Cole feels great and has now assembled every single Lego (over 2,000 pieces in total) he got for Christmas.  #futureengineer

Hoping we bring in 2015 better than we're leaving 2014!
