Christmastime's a Comin'

Santa will be coming soon... apparently in a sleigh towed by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Chicken-Footed Llama Reindeer.

Cole says he is the "third best artist in the class."  Sweet boy.  It's a good thing he's great at math. ;)

We hosted the oldest Westbrook boys for a play date on Friday afternoon because Brad and Destiny were out of town.  They were very happy to get a uniform break in favor of Christmas shirts on Friday!

Speaking of Christmas shirts, a special (that was one of Cole's spelling words this week: don't even ask me about the other 19 [subtraction, objection, division, magician...]) visitor was at Brook Hill on Wednesday.  The kids were allowed another break from uniforms in favor of Christmas shirts to meet the biggest elf.   Cole looked so nice.  Don't mind Tate, who isn't four yet but insisted on wearing that shirt.

By the time Cole met Santa, he untucked his shirt and had sloppy hair. Well, I tried.

The boys both cleaned up well for the Christmas cantata at church this morning, though!

My heart was overfilled when I went with Cole and several of Mrs. Cool's other students to a nursing home in Tyler where the kids played carols for the residents.  They then passed out fleece blankets to the residents, and I was especially proud of Cole for stopping to talk to the residents that he gave blankets to.  He was such a gentleman, and we know personally that nursing home residents are always in need of visitors and smiles from children.

And I leave you with this.  Good thing this one has a good pitching arm. ;)
