One Year Down

Tate O, you are ONE YEAR OLD!

This past first year of your life has been amazing, and you completed our family. We LOVE you!  We love you even with the black eye that you got after a tumble down the stairs. I think you put up a good fight, but the stairs won.

You are happy, laid back, fun, and a joy to be around.  You have been such an easy baby - you are not demanding, you will eat any food, you can throw a ball further than most kids Cole's age, you love your brother, your dog, and any stuffed animal. You are a JOY.

At 1, you are:

-Eating everything in site, but your favorites are still avocado (you will eat an entire avocado in less than 2.5 minutes) and anything with cheese (that's Mama's boy)

-Just stopped nursing completely about a week ago and started whole milk last night - and you L.O.V.E. it 

-Throwing food on the floor constantly (oooh, this one is tough for me!)

-Taking 2 naps a day

-Sleeping 12-13 hours a night, from 6:30 pm - 7:30 am

-Waving, clapping, blowing kisses, giving hugs, making kissing sounds

-Sleeping cuddled up with a blue hippo "lovie" animal blanket and an organic cotton plush hippo from the Garners

-Standing by yourself

-Cruising and walking behind push toys, like this one from the Peacocks

 

-Loving balls, trucks, and being pulled in your wagon

-Climbing stairs very quickly (hence the black eye)

-Loving bath time and throwing a fit every time I pull you out

-Wearing 12-18 month and 18-24 month tops

-Wearing 18 month pants with the legs rolled up

-Wearing size 4.5 W shoe

-Still sporting the faux-hawk or spikes to tame your massive amount of hair

-Saying mama, ba (ball and balloon), duh (for duck and dog), bo (hippo), mmm (milk and more)

-Dancing, especially to children's music

-Loving, loving, loving, and HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY
