In order for me to appreciate my wife's blogging efforts, we (Lindsay) thought it would be worthwhile for me to do a guest blog. I, too, thought this would be "fun." I immediately thought that I should contact my brother-in-law for some funny material, but his phone was off and his voicemail was full (thanks, JH). Here we go (I am responsible for most of the photography as well):
We hung out Friday night at the house and Lindsay cooked a great meal. I did not get a picture of the food because I ate it so quickly. I got this great picture of Cole after dinner. I think he had just consumed a bowl of ice cream so he was in good spirits.
This is Barley. She has never made the blog and deserved a spot. She hangs out in Lindsay's office all day and keeps her company. She has attended more federal court hearings than most lawyers (including me).
Cole got this puzzle out Friday night and went to work. Lindsay and I did not help him and he figured it out. I think he is a Mike Leach fan at heart.
Saturday morning, Cole and I went to the farm in Rusk to check a game camera. We got a little more than we bargained for. We saw a 175-lb hog about 10 feet away. Cole wanted to pet him, but I wanted to run. So we ran. I told my friends we got chased by a 175-lb hog.
Geez, this blogging takes forever. Cole took this picture with Lindsay's phone before date night on Saturday. A bit fuzzy, but he really had fun trying. Girls, OMG, look at those boots!
Picture at dinner. Good food and good friends equal good times.
These are some of our friends. They are good people. It was a 7th grade dance after dinner with guys watching Tebowmania and the girls talking about girl things.
Take a quick look at those last two pictures again. As you can discern from the photos, the guys had a much better time (yes, Mom and Mimi, we had a DD). If you can't see what I am talking about, I am sorry I can't help you.
As some of you may know, we have another son (Tate). Lindsay stole the video of him walking. I did not forget him in my blog.
To my wife, you are amazing. You keep our family going. I love you.
