Meet Meat

Cole is really into lizards and anything from the reptile family.  Perhaps this is because he watched the "How to Train Your Dragon" movie 347 times in the car on the way to and home from Port Aransas. Or perhaps it is because he is a 4 1/2 year-old boy.  At least he's not into pageants (did anyone else see the recent episode of Toddlers and Tiaras on TLC where the boys were competing in pageants?! - not judging, just glad it's not on our to-do list).

Anywho, my friend Meredith gave him a bug box a couple of years ago for his birthday.  Meet his most recent pets:

Two small gecko-type lizards.  I don't know if you can really make them out in these pictures, but trust me, they are in there.

When I asked Cole what the lizards names were, he thought long and hard. And then came up with Max and Meat.    We've been feeding them roly-polys and "yebes" (leaves - yes, he's still in speech.)
