Homemade. Sort of.

For Mother's Day this year, Mike's parents came to visit us. The girls and the little boys (Cole & Tate) went to Tyler for the day while the big boys (Mike and John) stayed at the house.
We went to a paint-your-own pottery place.  Cole painted his own pottery - a rock 'n roll guitar. And what colors should a guitar be?  Green and brown camo, of course.

(These pictures are not entirely clear, I know. Peggy took them with her camera and we realized later that there was a smudge on the lens.)

We made platters for Peggy and me with the boys' footprints.  And when I say " we made," I mean that I paid the lovely artists at the pottery shop to do them for us.

We first picked out dinner-size plates, but someone has a HUGE foot and we had to use serving-size platters.

Tate's turn. It tickled him when she painted his fat little foot.

The finished products that I can't take full credit for, but for which I take partial credit because Mike and I made the boys that made these PRECIOUS footprints, after all!

(I know Mother's day was at the beginning of May. I'm just posting this because there was a snafu with my platter and they just finished it.)
