After highs near 80 on Wednesday, we've had temps in the 20s and 30s all weekend. We really do well all cooped up inside. Um, or not. Here's a little weekend in review in pictures and video--
Our Sunday Best before the Christmas music program at church:
Cole and I doing chores. I am not sure why Mike took this photo, but at least I'll have proof at one time I did have a willing and able volunteer to help me wash dishes. See that it is so cold I am wearing my down vest INSIDE.
Cole went to a skating birthday party for his friend, Savannah.
None of the kids had skated much before, and it was Cole's first time. He loved it and burned a little energy. SCORE!
Mike was bored from being cooped up inside so he put on some warm layers and went for a jog. Probably not his best look.
Mike was gone on "vacation" the latter part of the week and had been spending his days at the ocean. How hard it must be to come home from Laguna Beach to freezing rain and screaming children. Okay, so it might have been a work trip and he only saw the beach from his balcony. Regardless, I was The Good Wife and made him homemade gumbo, potato salad, and chocolate chip cookies when he returned on Friday night.
Cole is going to play the piano at Barnes & Noble bookstore in Tyler next Sunday. He is playing 4 Christmas songs, so we spent a lot of time practicing this weekend:
This evening is Mike's company Christmas party and we have a very busy week ahead with parties and school functions. Fa la la la la, la la la la!
