Christmas Festivus

What an awesome weekend ---

We are SO PROUD of Cole for playing Christmas carols at Barnes & Noble in Tyler on Sunday afternoon.  Several of Mrs. Cool's Brook Hill students played carols at the store for shoppers, and Cole prepared four songs.

Braxton, Cole, and Gracie all played around the same time in the afternoon, so we were thrilled to see our friends' kids play, too.  They were all superb!

Mrs. Cool complimented Cole, saying that he is learning very fast, has talent, and has a great work ethic in lessons.  Did I mention we are proud?!

Here are videos of his four songs for the grandparents.  He played Silent Night again later in the afternoon when his Principal arrived at the store, and he did even better the second time around.

Before all the fun on Sunday, I started the weekend with our second annual GIRLS' TRIP.  Woot Woot!

Here we are at The Mansion after a full day of shopping and before a delicious dinner at Nobu.  I mean DELICIOUS.

Ash, Cori, Destiny, Natalie, Kelley, Kristin, and me

Destiny started off lunch at Breadwinners the right way with a kickin' Texas cocktail... in a boot. Ha!

Kristin and Nat

Kelley and me *and my new necklace. :)

At the Crescent Court after grapefruit martinis, dinner, and grapefruit martinis.  ;)

Mike manned the boys at home, took Cole to basketball tryouts (where he was the only one of his 5 good friends there to make a basket on his turn!), and took them to see the movie Frozen.

And not to leave anyone out, Tate was happy to color a Christmas picture and play Jenga on Friday afternoon... before he got sick with a cold and cough.

We are looking forward to a big surprise this week for the boys (think big red suit & white beard), Christmas parties, and Christmas in The Woodlands over the weekend.  Oh, and hopefully knocking out Tater's cold.  :(
