The Turkey Goes "Cock-a-doodle-doo"

I took these two turkeys for a week in the Hill Country over Thanksgiving break.

The weather was CRUMMY.  Cold, sleet, freezing rain, rain...
but we still got out to feed some deer in the afternoons.

Mom and I took the boys to the San Antonio Children's Museum one day to get out of the house.  It was cute and the boys loved it.  Here we are driving a front-end loader in the construction exhibit:

Tate and Cole both loved the "ball pit" exhibit, complete with these tubes that sucked up the balls and spit them out on the opposite end of the exhibit.

Giant bubbles

They also got to milk a cow, fly a plane, and go grocery shopping.  Fun, fun!

We roasted marshmallows over the fire inside because it was way too wet and cold outside.  Someone really likes marshmallows.  He stuffed several in his mouth at once and stole the rest from our plates.

I think this was before the s'mores and we bribed them to get real smiles :)

The weather finally cleared on Wednesday and the boys had fun on the swing in the front yard...

...or not.

Tate was a typical, crazy almost-three-year old this weekend.  He is independent -- wanting to wear only his football shirts, play only with his trains, and tell us that the turkey goes "cock-a-doodle-doo" and the fish goes "gobble gobble."  Who wants to volunteer to baby-sit?  For the next year. I'm certain he'll return to his normal sweet self when he's 4.

He was happy to celebrate Mimi's birthday the day before Thanksgiving.  Who doesn't like cake?!  Well, I don't, but the baby certainly inherited a sweet tooth from his grandmothers and dad.

We headed to finally meet up with Mike (he stayed home and had a long, hard week of work) at Baca's house for Thanksgiving lunch. We had WAY TOO MUCH good food.

We worked off maybe a roll's worth of calories in a family football game.

This was my touchdown dance.  I know you're sorry you didn't get to see my sweet moves in person.

Finally, we headed home on Friday.  We made a short pit-stop in Austin to see some of our favorite people and have lunch and play more football!

How awesome is this shot and glimpse into our future with these four boys?!

Cole and Tate were very excited to see Jack and Luke because it had been since our July beach trip when we were all together last.  Jack and Cole are already counting down the days to our next get-together.

We Katy bribed the boys to sit "still" for a quick photo.  With giant marshmallows.  Following the theme here??

After a week a fun over this holiday, I am again reminded of all of our blessings.  But I am most thankful for these three...

Merry Thanksgiving to you all!
