Parade of Animals

You can call me "Random [Wo]Man" for this blog post. No theme, lots of pictures, a few funny stories... none of which go together.  This is totally unlike me. Someone must have switched my coffee to decaf.

I have not posted these pics yet from a few weeks ago (GASP!).
Destiny and I took ALL 6 of our kids to the zoo - I think we managed pretty well and the kids were great.

This is the best I could get -- Tate, Cole, Breckin, Saige, and Jett [baby Cruz was sleeping in the stroller]

They were more cooperative when I shot them from behind. ;)

Cole is a future business man.  We bought this shirt the day before from our friends' sno cone stand (to support their local business that employs youth from J-ville).  When we bought it Cole said, "Mama, if I wear this shirt to the zoo tomorrow, everyone will see it and want to drive to Jacksonville and buy sno cones!" And my little Donald Trump in fact wore the shirt.

Who doesn't like giraffes?!  Who doesn't like pictures of Tate?!

We also recently celebrated Kelley's birthday and left our little animals with a sitter.

Love this man.  I think we probably look better not fuzzy. Or maybe not.

We have once again enjoyed swimming this summer with these two little fish. I took them earlier this week for what was probably one of our last swims of the summer.

This little escape artist has been giving us a run for our money lately by repeatedly getting out of bed. When we first switched him to a regular bed from the crib, he did GREAT.  Then he learned he could just get up and have the freedom to wander out of his room.  A million times. At 10:00 at night.  While breaking through two different "child-proof" locks on the door.  He's really cute, but not after we've had to climb the stairs ten times.

We'll be buying another new lock to try today that will attach high up on the door.  Bets on how long it will take him to break through this one?!

I'm looking forward to finding out who Cole will have for First Grade, taking Cole and his friends on one last jaunt before school, and to actually getting back into a normal routine.  Maybe then my blogs will make more sense. Or maybe not. :)

  1. Love the zoo pics! I am so glad that Tate learned he can get out of the bed and explore. Not glad for you, but just glad that his cousin is in good company! Children should be in cribs until the start kindergarten! :)
