We have had just a short and whirlwind week at home after returning from Galveston and before we depart for some R&R with family and friends.
I had a brilliant disastrous idea on Monday to just stay at home all day and make our own sidewalk paint --> a combination of cornstarch, water, and food coloring. I read on Pinterest and other blogs that this was a fun activity with easy clean up. WRONG. The boys had fun, but the cornstarch left a white powder residue all over our red driveway that WILL NOT COME OFF. Hope they enjoyed it this one time :)
On a brighter note, Tate is hitting the baseball out of the park...
And Cole has been doing well at piano - this is Pop Goes the Weasel:
Finally, we got to view our family portraits that we had taken a few weeks ago (Happy Mother's Day to me from Mike!), and loved a lot of the shots. Cole and I ate at his fav - Chuy's - while we were up in Tyler.
Ready to take these kiddos to see grandparents and to the beach! Oh, and I'm ready for a lazy river and a mojito. Good thing all of those are coming up on the Stansberry summer menu! Now if someone will just come sandblast the cornstarch off my driveway... dang Pinterest.
I was wondering about the sidewalk paint idea. I think I'll pass on it now! :)
