There is nothing like celebrating Christmas with a Kindergartner... much less 14 of them. Cole's class party was this week, and the kids had so much fun. First up was a book exchange: this year they had a boy circle and a girl circle.
Mrs. Campbell and her new baby boy made a surprise appearance. How sweet are Braxton and Cole looking on?!
We said a bitter-sweet goodbye to the long term sub, Mrs. Cox. Mrs. Cox has a special place in her heart for Cole and we love her!
One of the moms had monogrammed stockings for all of the kids that they decorated at the party. We also enjoyed some cookie cake, cupcakes, fruit, and crackers.
Okay, that is a lie. If you know Cole and me, you know that we did not eat the cookie cake or cupcakes. But they looked cute. :)
Cole also loved passing out handmade gifts from his Baca to all of his classmates.
Next up was my pokeno Christmas party and gift exchange at Ashley's. She made gumbo and hot chocolate with a little Peppermint Schnapps. Or maybe it was Peppermint Schnapps with a little hot chocolate. Mmmmm.
Around the table left to right are Elizabeth, Afton, Claire, Trina, Kelley, Cori, and Ashley.
Liz, Cori, and Trina
All of us in front of the tree. We had a great time, and I am blessed with wonderful friends. (Although, I look at this and laugh because I don't think we all look our best, definitely not me -- this is what a bunch of moms of young kids looks like the third week of December - ha!)
Cole is now out of school for Christmas break, so we both made it to Tate's class party. This is Mrs. Doris and Mrs. Beverly's classes combined:
Forget the sweets - there were Cheetoh Puffs
Here is Tate with a Santer's helper. This helper was female. Cole promptly announced, " Tate and I are going to see Real Santa in Houston this weekend!"
I hope Tate is more impressed with Real Santa.
