Cole had a project to work on for school: decorating a gingerbread man to match his personality. He wanted to make the gingerbread man a hunter. No guns in school, son. Not even paper ones cut out from a magazine.
So, a fisherman we made.
This gingerbread man started out as a 10" piece of brown construction paper.
How cute is he?! ;)
Cole has said a few funny things lately that I wanted to save on the blog so I won't forget them later.
He made an advent calendar at school last week. It is a bell with a long string of construction paper rings dangling from it. You rip a ring each night. Last night we ripped 2 because we had forgotten to rip one on Saturday night. This morning at breakfast Cole said, "I don't think we did the right thing yesternight. We should have only ripped one ring."
A few nights ago when Mike was out of town, I put Tate to bed. Cole sleeps with me when Mike is gone, so I was getting him tucked in. He could hear Tate crying over the baby monitor.
Cole: "Um, mom, do you want me to go get the baby?"
Me: "No, Cole. Finish brushing your teeth and get into bed."
[A minute passes and Tate is still crying]
Cole: "Mom, I got this. I am going to go get the baby."
(Thanks to Kelley who snapped this cute pic of the boys yesterday out at the Peacocks' property.)
Back to work for me. I wish I was going back to Kindergarten!
When I was letting him drive the Mule (what a cool friend I am!) Cole said "don't worry...I have a mule license". Haha. It was so cute!
