Easter Weekend: Part I

We started Easter weekend with one of the best car rides that we've had... oh, except that we got stuck in Hearne for half an hour when a train stopped on a highway crossing and Mike got pulled over by a constable who had been following him for 6 miles.  Good thing that he had two sweet boys who smiled at the officer. That got him out of a "running from the law" ticket.  The boys were great on the trip down... so that is all that matters!

Here they are the first night at Baca's house collecting snails.

We got to hang out with several of Mike's buddies from SM that we don't see very often, and it was great to see Rene.

Baca and her boys, who were so happy to spend time with her!

I told Mike to stay for family pictures in the wildflowers. I'm not sure why he chose to go running instead...

Baca and Cole dying eggs

The finished products... that we ended up having to set out of view of Tate because he was SO UPSET that he couldn't have a "ball."  If it looks like a ball, and you can throw it like a ball, it MUST be a ball!

We love our little athlete. Here he is with his first ball egg.

Here he is clapping for himself!

And Mom and Dad

And Baca & Grandpa

The sugar-rush made for a LONG ride home today, but other than that we had a wonderful weekend.
