Twinning

How blessed am I to still be BFFs with two of my BFFs from childhood?! Not really even that, more like infanthood!  I may closely resemble one of them (shout-out to the great RW), but my life has really mirrored the other.

Same pre-schools/elementary/jr. high/high school.  Tennis doubles partners, Student Council board members, Class Board members, and more. Both went to college, went to law school, became lawyers, married lawyers, had two boys each, and reduced our work loads to raise our boys.  #twinning

All hail, the GARNERS [minus Craig, who had to stay back to work]!

We had THE.BEST.TIME.
We spent most of our time at the lake, but got in a fun meal and some swimming in the pool on Friday night. These kids are all little fish. #BackyardOlympics

Honestly, the boys got along so well. No fighting, no whining, no arguing, no insane noise levels. Just pure swimming/tubing/jet-skiing/row-boating/exploring/Pokemon-playing/fort-building/Nerf-gun shooting fun!!

Tate (5), John John (8), Cole (9), Will (6)

Mike was a trooper to pull us on the tube all weekend long. We had the lake to ourselves. It was AWESOME! Thinking most families were getting ready for school or might have been afraid of the clouds, but we enjoyed the wide open spaces, cool breezes, and warm water all weekend.

We even christened the dock by hitting golf balls into the lake. So fun!!

Captain Will might have had the most fun.  This kid lives for adventure! He threw Johnny off the jet ski on a wild ride, begged for more donuts on the tube, and loved helping Mike drive the boat.

The adults were able to sneak away one night for dinner out and leave the munchkins with a babysitter and BBQ at the house. We had a great meal in a fun setting with good weather. Mike particularly enjoyed the grass couch at The Grove. ;)

We loved the visit from our favorite SoCal crew, and can't wait to see them again soon! They make us so happy.
