Frio Love Forever

We trekked down to the Hill Country this weekend to pick up these campers.  The #best2weeks for Cole-Man at LLYC and a #great10days for TateO at grandparents' camp!

Cole LOVED his second summer at LLYC. Of course he did.  Light saber wars, BBQ ribs over a camp stove, sleeping under the stars in hammocks, and that was just one night!

He was back in Cabin 4, but said he loved his cabinmates and counselors even more this summer than last. Success! For his individual activity the first week, he chose Wilderness (with Hadley). This is a two-hour activity of hiking, exploring, and all things outdoors.  The second week he chose Shooting and Water Sports. He said Water Sports was his fave.

He danced {A LOT} at the Rodeo Dance, made fun friends, and made the most of his time in Leakey.

He was a bit of a zombie when we picked him up on Saturday, but after sleeping 11 hours, he woke up his usual chatty self. :)

He and Hadley told everyone they were cousins because they were "tired of explaining how we know each other." Ha! I'm thinking that if anyone saw their moms standing next to each other, they'd believe that story was true. ;)

Not to be left out, this Little Man had a great five days with Baca in San Marcos and Port A, and five days with Mimi and Papa Jim in Comfort.

He learned to boogie board, spent time on a Pirate Ship, and completely wore out his grandmother!

Mimi took him to Morgan's Wonderland and the Do-seum in San Antonio -- so fun!

We should all be so happy to be on a Ferris Wheel!

He also had fun swimming -- cuties #tateandkate !

Mike and I didn't know what to do with the quiet house, so we mainly worked. But I did sneak in a fun morning and lunch with friends one day (Kelley and Nat).

And we enjoyed a golf/spa/swim weekend at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas with these great friends!
The McCowns, The Westbrooks, Us, and The Durretts:
Country came to Town! ;)

Mike and I ran into two friends from Law School who were also vacationing at the resort, and had so much fun catching up.  Mike was actually out of town on a work trip and then for actual working the second week the boys were gone, so I had the house to myself.  It was quiet. But it was clean ;)

I was happy to be reunited with my better half and our BFFs in Comfort. THANK YOU to Mimi and Papa Jim for watching our littles so we could enjoy a dinner out.

We ended our weekend in San Marcos with a trip for lunch to Herbert's Taco Hut and a relaxing night at Peggy's. East Texas is home for us right now, but a little Texas Hill County is good for the soul.

xo,
Lindsay
