Tater Talks

I did a post of Cole-isms (click here to re-read it) several years ago.  Now, it is Tate's turn. He doesn't talk as much as Cole (who does, really?), but he has said some cute things lately. 

• While putting on the shirt above: "That says Tate, but that's not me. That's a potato. I'm Tate!"

• While getting dressed: "I don't like these pants. I want to wear my football pants and my football shirt. You need to wash them. Then I wear them. That's the deal."

• While Cole was taking his allergy medicine: 

Tate- "I need medicine.  I'm sit [sick]." 

Me- "You are not sick, Tate."

Tate- "Yes, my ear is sit [sick]!"

• At dinner almost every night: "If I eat all my dinner, then I get a tuptate [cupcake]?"

• After seeing cornbread muffins on the counter:

Tate - "Let me see that tuptate."

Me - "That's not a cupcake.  It is a cornbread muffin."

Tate - "Mmmm. Let me smell that corn tuptate!"

• "I am super, super hungry, Momma.  Candy will make me not hungry." 

• To Cole after Cole received a conduct warning for talking at school and lost privileges at home as a result, "Bubba, if you be good and yisten at school, Momma will give you candy!"

• To me: "When you get little, you want to go to my school?"

• About Christmas: 

Me- "Tate, Santa is watching you. He only brings gifts to little boys and girls who do not whine."  
Tate- "It's okay.  Santa lives far, far away."

• To Cole as Cole was telling Tate what to do: "You being the boss, Bubba."   And we all know Cole is bossy ;)
