We had a great visit from Peggy and a nice family weekend together just the five of us. Friday night we opted for pizza, brownies, and cuddles on the couch instead of braving cool weather for another football game.
Saturday morning we went to the dedication ceremony for a Huey helicopter at the American Freedom Museum on the campus of Brook Hill. This helicopter flew in Vietnam, and there was a beautiful ribbon-cutting ceremony to honor its final resting place at the museum. We also took a brief tour of the museum with two tired and restless boys. I am so glad we went and were able to hear from veterans and thank them for their service.
We spent some time in Tyler, and then headed home for a good dinner, some games of Sequence, and to watch TCU beat K-State.
Sunday morning was Children's Sunday at church. Cole had a rough rehearsal [he's a perfectionist -- I have no idea absolutely every idea where that comes from...], but pulled it together for an amazing performance of "Onward Christian Soldiers."
This is twice in a the span of a month that Cole has played in front of a large congregation. I couldn't have been more proud of him for regaining his cool after he lost his temper in practice, and playing beautifully when it counted.
Not to be left out, Tate sang stood with the children's choir.
At least he looked cute ;)
We had a "quiet" weekend by our standards, but nothing is ever too quiet with two rowdy boys. We were all thankful Baca made the trip, and will be back again in a couple of weeks.
Onward to another busy week!

Love all of the stories, videos & photos! Can't believe how much Cole & Tate are growing! We love & miss you all!
