No, it was the Worst of Times. 82 to ... well, it doesn't matter. Tech got creamed by TCU. Despite the game, we had a great time! ;)
Our House Divided
We went to a great but HOT tailgate with the Whytlaws and the Bobos. It was so fun to see the Whytlaws twice in one month and hug Hadley and Grady's necks. I had not seen my childhood friend, David, in years. Loved getting to catch up with him, meet his wife, and watch his three boys play football with mine. His might have a leg up on that because Bobo played college ball at TCU. He wasn't too fond of my red dress yesterday :)
Front row: Tate (3), Ford (10), Hadley (9)
Back row: Knox (almost 5), Cole (8), Brody (7), and Grady (5)
Tate and I were outnumbered for sure. If only looks could kill.... check out his stare down on those Frogs! HAHA!
We also got in a brief visit with my college roommate and friend, Christian. Loved seeing her sweet face and chatting with Natalie (Cunha) Horany, another high school friend and former tennis teammate. We had great club level seats (thanks to Drew and Ashley), and so we stayed for most of the beating and I drowned my sorrows with the free wine and air conditioning.
The stadium was loud (primarily due to the speaker system). Tate was trying to cover his ears so a nice lady on our row sent down some cotton balls that I was able to use to help him. He loved watching the game and was a trooper once we lowered the decibel level.
This must be our 500th Tech game together. We've seen better.
After the game, we stayed in downtown Funkytown, which we LOVE. We walked to an amazing dinner at Capital Grille, and had breakfast at TCU-staple Yogi's this morning before taking Dad to the airport. A winning weekend in my books.
Cute cute post! Love the pic with Johnny - two of my favorite people!
