All Orange and... Crafty

Brook Hill's motto for athletics is "All Orange!" The school colors are blue and orange, so they encourage fans to think and wear "All Orange" to athletic events.  Cole has really loved being a Guard Dog for varsity linebacker Andrew this year.  Here they are at last week's game in the Victory Line walk to the field.

Tate, of course, loves the games.  He was clapping for the players (and cheerleaders) in the Victory Line, and then yelled for Brook Hill louder than Cole or any of his friends did! :)

Every week Cole writes a little note, draws a picture, or gives his football player a little gift. I wish I had taken photos of the sweet notes he has written, but I just have a shot of a few of the gifts we've put together. The cheer coach puts these notes/gifts into the players' lockers before the games on Friday, and we hear they love the Guard Dogs program just as much as the little boys do!

Popcorn for Homecoming this week

Speaking of orange, we went to a cook-out and pumpkin decorating party at the Peacocks' house this past weekend.  Cole had a good time playing football and carving pumpkins with his buddies.  Mike enjoyed playing shuffleboard and drinking beer with his. HAHAHA!

Tate a/k/a Picasso, had the best Impressionist painted pumpkin if I do say so myself.

While we're on the topic of Halloween, a friend of mine asked me to make 30 bags for the annual big Halloween party next week (3 people make 30 bags if that clues you in to how MANY kids are at this party!).  So, I threw these bags together, and then decided while I was at it to make 11 more for Tate's class party next week.

I hand-drew all of webs, then glued on spiders, punched two holes, and threaded ribbon through the top.

Then, because I just couldn't stop (no, really, I could have stopped - I was so tired of threading tulle!), I made another bag for Cole's football player and two more for the boys' teachers.  I filled their bags with gift cards in lieu of the popcorn and candy I stuffed in the rest! ;)

Now we all know Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but if I'm asked to make something, I'm going to make sure it is done cute! Ha! The boys are really looking forward to the ranch party, so stay tuned for lots of cute photos next week.  Until then...
