The Andres came to East Texas to spend the weekend with us, and we all could not have been happier to be with our best of friends!
The Older Boys: Cole (7 1/2) and Jack (6 1/2)
The Littles: Tate and Luke (both 3)
The Ladies: Katy and me (ages don't matter: all you need to know is that I am YOUNGER)
The Men: Chris and Mike (real ages: 41 and 36, but they are both about 22 at heart)
The little boys had a blast playing rockets in the pool, jumping, and carrying on their own hilarious little conversations. It is for sure they will be lifelong friends like the older two.
All 4 boys loved playing with these new little dive rockets the Peacocks gave us.
Chicken Fights!
Pool Football
I think they might be related. Maybe.
These two were inseparable all weekend. They might have had more fun catching up than even us grown-ups did! :)
My main man and me. We literally spent all weekend outside/in the pool. Katy and I left for about 5 minutes on Saturday to take the big boys for sno cones, and we even left our bathing suits on for that venture!
Tate and Uncle Chris enjoying the water
Life is rough for Cole Stansberry...
As always, we had amazing meals. I made sea bass with a lemon-shallot-butter sauce, roasted okra, and brown rice on Friday night. Then the guys made chicken wings and smoked ribs all day on Saturday. For the Rib-Off, it was "Winner" [Chris] vs. "Daddy" [Mike]
It ended in a tie. Both were falling-off-the-bone-finger-licking amazing!
We missed our usual beach vacation with the Andres this year (something that we will NEVER miss again - plans already made for 2015), but chillaxin' by the pool and watching the 4 boys wear themselves out jumping and laughing was the best substitute!
Viva la Rowdy Bunch!
