~Happy Independence Day 2014~

We had the best holiday weekend. JH, Kayla, Sawyer, Tyler, Carrie, and Pete all came in from Houston, and we relaxed by the pool all weekend, played a little golf, played a few games, cooked out burgers, smoked ribs, set off fireworks, painted t-shirts, and celebrated our freedom.

I have SO many great photos: I'm including a lot of them so you can get a sampling of our fun festivities over the long weekend.

Love this boy. He was so great all weekend with the three younger boys, and took a lot of time to play with and help watch baby Tyler.  He also ate up lots of quality time with fun Uncle Hunter, Pete, and his dad.

This is one of my favorites: it is darling of JH and Tyler, and look at Cole in the background jumping in the pool :)

The Westbrooks came over on July 4th for burgers, watermelon, pasta salad, a flag fruit dessert pizza, swimming, and sparklers.  It was a ton of people, but the kids had a great time, and JH orchestrated a fireworks show for us (unfortunately, I didn't get a single pic).

Mike and I just sat back at [the only] one quiet moment and just reflected on how thankful we are for our freedom and our blessings.  We are fortunate to have this home and the new pool, but it wouldn't be anything without family and friends.
