Evolution of a Pool

Summer has OFFICIALLY arrived!
Okay, so summer arrived more than a month ago, but it wasn't official around here until we could swim in our own pool! That day was July 1, 2014.

The construction process:

This has been a loooooong, arduous, and frustrating process. We started digging the hole for the pool on April 2.  Three months of mess, headaches, decisions, and a lot of checks later, I can say when we all took our first jumps in the pool yesterday that it was WORTH IT!

We had long been talking about either putting in a pool or moving to a house with a pool. I loved growing up with pools, and our little family lives outside as much as we can.  We got a little "push" to move on our wishes after we lived through the loss of Reagan's dad, Nick. I said to Mike, "Life is short and he enjoyed his family just like we do." We called the contractor the next day and were digging the pool within a couple of weeks.  I sent a little love up to NW when I jumped in for the first time yesterday.

The fence is going up today, and the concrete will have a non-slip/cooling overlay painted on in another week or so.   We are glad the pool is ready in time for Independence Day celebrations with family and friends.

THIS is the best view around, my friends. Cheers!
