Lucky Number Seven

 This sweet boy turns SEVEN today! 

 

 

A look back through the past seven years of birthdays:

 

 

Cole-Man is our very independent, handsome, smart, well-rounded, kind-hearted, energetic first born.  He loves to play outside and is a total BOY.  He loves guns, swords, cars, golf, tennis, baseball, football, riding his bike, scooter and 4-wheeler, loves looking for bugs and frogs, and climbing trees.  He is the best big brother, hands down.  He cherishes and protects Tate and can't wait to play with him every day after school.  He likes to watch television, but isn't much into computer or other electronic games (WHOO HOOO!).

 

Cole is smart and really enjoys math.  Reading is coming along, though he prefers math and has an excellent memory.  I mean, EXCELLENT. Like scary excellent.  He told me the other day that he remembered when Santa brought him a 4-wheeler for Christmas, we opened the French doors to the back patio to get the 4-wheeler outside.  He was 3 at the time.  When Dad was here, Cole told Dad he noticed Dad had a new cover on his iPhone from the last time he saw him.  Who even notices such details?!

 

He makes wonderful grades.  He is excelling in piano, and his teacher complimented him just last week on how well is doing - he is progressing faster than a lot of kids who are older and have been playing longer. Clearly a gift from the Stansberrys :)

 

Did I mention he is independent?!  He is also a little obsessive/compulsive (a gift from both parents), and keeps his toys and room clean.  He makes his bed every day.  He is still very active and though he does well to sit still in school, we have to find an outlet for all of his energy when we get home after school.  He is caring, is a good friend to his friends and classmates, and very much loved!
