Mike and Cole left late last week for their annual fishing trip with Dad at Lake Powell in Utah. Hunter was able to join them this year, which Cole was super excited about!
Here's our little outdoorsman on the BEAUTIFUL shore of Lake Powell.
Dad, Cole, and Mike cooking out at the campsite. Pretty nice spread considering they were roughing it.
Just sitting' on the dock of the boat...
I can't wait until Tate (and Sawyer and Baby Leever2) are old enough to join and then the girls can go, too!
Cole and grandpa Johnny
Cole and Uncle Hunter fishing off the shore, which just gives you a glimpse of how BIG the cliffs are.
I know Cole eats up every bit of this trip this year. Mike said he caught some catfish - his favorite! They will arrive back home after midnight tonight and I can't wait to see them. I just hope this Cool Cat can make it up for school in the morning. :/
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Tate and I were glad to welcome some company for the weekend so we were not lonely and bored for 4 days. And who better than Aunt Kaka, cousin Sawyer, and Gigi?!
Here comes trouble...
We took them to the drive-thru safari outside of town on Saturday and the boys just loved it.
Here is Tate waving to an axis deer
I can't remember what this exotic longhorn-type animal from Africa is called, but it nearly took off the side of Kayla's car.
Tate's favorite were the zebras, wild boar, and buffalo
Saw really liked feeding the llamas and reciting the "Llama, Llama" books!
Both boys had so much fun playing and swimming this weekend - we were able to squeeze in a swim at some friends' house in town on Saturday afternoon and made a quick trip to Elkhart to see Kayla's college roommate and her newborn on Sunday. Most of all, Tate LOVED showing off to Gigi. What is better than a grandmother, really?! Even if she isn't yours! ;)
Great pictures!!
