Rah, Rah... Boo

We decided last minute to take a short road trip to Ft. Worth/Granbury for the TCU v. Southeast Louisiana game this weekend.  We left early Saturday morning [although not as early as I would have liked because we... um.... left the boys' suitcase at the house and did not make this discovery until we were headed on the highway out of town].

We made it just in time to down a mimosa at the tailgate before the 11:00 am start. There is some cheer that goes "Rah, Rah, TCU. Beat the hell out of ___[whatever team they are playing]."  I changed it to "Rah, Rah, mimosas all around!" ;)

Hadley brought her BFF, Taylor, to the game and they wanted Reagan and me to tell them all the stories about how we were BFFs growing up.   They had heard most of them before from Reagan, but she failed to tell them about the time she vomited all over my bed at Girl Scout camp.  I filled them in ;)

I might have been wearing black and white and my Tech class ring, but the other 3/4 of our family was sporting purple.

The Little Frogs: Tate, Hadley, Taylor (Hadley's friend from Odessa), Grady, and Cole-Man

It was HOT. And I mean HOT.  We sweated through the first half in 90+ degree heat and 80% humidity with lots of $10 bottles of water (thank you, stadium mark-up).   The kids were worn out.

Funny though, they perked right up when we arrived in Granbury and hit the pool and lake.

I didn't break my camera out again, but we had a blast swimming and playing.  We did not have a blast, however, watching the Tech game that evening.  DirecTV cut the broadcast in the Dallas market.  Rah, Rah, Booo! Beat the hell out of DirecTV.

4 out of 4 of us will be sporting scarlet and black on Thursday, though I'm sure one or maybe all of the boys will throw on their purple hats.  Guns Up! Go Frogs! Guns Up Again!
