First Grade Football Friday

Brook Hill Class of 2025

Friday night's football game at Brook Hill was "First Grade Football Night."  The Class of 2025 got to run out onto the field before the game and each child also had his/her name called out in front of all of the fans.  This is a wonderful group of kids.  We will be very lucky if most of them stay and graduate together.

Zachary, Cole, and Kai

I did not get a single picture of Cole running through the tunnel and onto the field because.... he has super speedy legs! He was the first kid out of the gate and down the field.   My friend Natalie and Dad both said he was a good 10 yards ahead of the other kids.  (The parents were still being led around the track when they let the kids go, so I was behind the kids as they ran and never saw our little speed demon at the front of the pack.)  Future track star??

Tate enjoyed watching his older brother and the game.  BH won by 2 points!

We didn't stay the entire game because it started past Tate's bed time and he was DONE by halftime.  We made a quick stop at the reception they had in the Founder's Suite at halftime for the First Graders for some cookie cake.

Dad flew in for the weekend and brought some early birthday gifts with him for C-man.

Cole might have looked a little like me in the pictures from the last post, but here are the real twins:

We watched a lot of football and sweated it out in the humidity before rain forced us inside for most of the weekend.

Dad and Mike were super proud of a brisket and ribs they smoked overnight.  Both were delish!

Looking forward to a busy week ahead with lots of celebrating for our almost SEVEN year old.  *TEAR*
