School's Out for Summer

It is official - he graduated and summer begins today.

How CUTE is this poster Cole made?! They had one of these for every Kindergarten graduate hanging at the ceremony.  I am going to have this framed for the boys' bathroom - I just love it.

The last day of school is Field Day
Zack, Braxton, Cole, and Clay

Breckin and Cole - very tired from water slides, tug-o-war, and bounce house play all morning

We gave Cole a gift for all his efforts this year and for graduating Kindergarten.  We might have forgotten to give it to him after the ceremony (OOPS!), so it was a breakfast surprise on Tuesday morning.

A new monogrammed (SHUT IT, KMA!) camo messenger bag and lunch box for First Grade. He was super excited because he has been wanting a messenger bag instead of a regular backpack.  Did you read the post on his being independent?! -->his teacher actually pulled me aside at the end of the year party and said that she really loved how independent Cole is.  While some of the boys get their feelings hurt and fight if the others don't want to play, Cole will just walk away from the situation and play by himself.

Today, because I am the best mom ever wanted to start the summer off with a bang, I took Cole, Breckin, and Braxton (aka the Old Geezers) to the movies and to lunch.

We ran into good friends from school, CJ and Bryce, at Sonic!

Tate's school actually has another week and he'll be attending three days a week during the summer, but he is excited about that. This kid loves Ms. Doris and his friends.

Cole has swimming lessons, summer camp, golf camp, basketball camp, golf and tennis clinics, beach trips, and more this summer.  He also will continue weekly piano lessons and has reading and writing journals to prepare for First Grade.  He's super excited about those ;)
