I really had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.
Cole and I spent almost the entire day on Saturday at a Strikeout Cancer Baseball Tournament hosted by the Rose Capital Little League in Tyler to benefit Cole's friend and classmate, Jett, who is fighting Leukemia.
Pictured are the kids from Jett's class whose parents volunteered and worked really hard at booths during the tournament.

Destiny and I worked at a face painting booth that was a total hit with the kids! We didn't even have time to eat lunch. All total, the bake sale, cake walk, face painting, temporary tattoo, hair painting, and lemonade stand booths that the moms ran earned over $1,200 for Jett and his family.
The entire tournament donated $20,000 to the Moore family. Words cannot describe what an awesome event this was. Despite being sick (we all came down with a stomach virus) and tired from painting little faces all day, I would not want to spend my Mother's Day weekend any other way. Amazing event to help a wonderful little boy and his brave fight against cancer!
We enjoyed having Peggy here - especially because she cooked chicken soup and took care of us when we were sick!
We felt better on Sunday and enjoyed a nice Mother's Day lunch.
I'm thankful most of all on this day for the blessing of being a mother, for my mom, my mother-in-law, my grandmother, and all of the wonderful women in my life.

Great post. Great pics.
