It was great to have a few days off to spend at home. NOT. AT. WORK.
We started our Turkey Day off with...
ice cream. Because it was 80 degrees.
We were by ourselves on Thanksgiving Day. Mike had to work on Friday and Dad didn't fly in until Friday. So, we worked in the yard, hung Christmas wreaths, delayed our celebration, and read everyone elses' Facebook posts about wonderful times with family and good food.
We had a wonderful Black Friday spent not at the stores but at home hanging out on the back porch.
I made everything: turkey, dressing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, creamed potatoes, and a spice cake for dessert. But I was the lucky one to share my meal with this crew of men:
Saturday was a great day playing outside and watching football, smoking pork and a brisket,
getting our [TTU & BB] guns up,
playing with friends,
and roasting marshmallows.

I am most thankful for my family, Dad that flew in to see us, our families that we couldn't be with, our home, and our friends.
Now comes Christmas. My shopping is almost done so I'm hoping to enjoy this season, try to keep up with the craziness at the boys' schools this next month, spend a girls' night in Dallas with my J-ville besties, and see my San Diego bestie that I've gone 5 (too) long years without seeing.
Let's go Decemeber!! I hope I don't pass out. ;)
