Hill Country Trippin'

The boys and I went to Comfort this weekend to see my mom and Jim.  Tate's school was closed on Friday so we were able to make it a 3-day weekend.  That and the fact that I now have a car with DVD players in the head rests were the only reasons we were able to make the trip.

 

We climbed trees,

 

 

went swinging from an old oak tree,

 

rode in the Mule and counted 41 deer,

 

Practiced our shot...

 

with Papa Jim's BB gun and target,

 

had a wonderful visit and lunch with Mamaw Cass,

 

laughed a lot,

 

shared popsicles on the porch with Mimi,

 

helped Mimi celebrate her birthday a little early,

 

and stayed up all night long on Saturday because a certain toddler has another respiratory infection and is on Prednisone, which kept him hyper and restless all weekend long.  Ugh.  I'll save myself the embarassment and not post pictures of us up at 3:30 am. :/

 

Here's to a great Hill Country weekend, a tolerable road trip with the boys, and to bringing Mike along next time!! (He had to work and was not able to take off on Friday to make the trip with us.)
