Samurais, swords, and footballs...?

The obligatory Halloween post.  It's my least favorite holiday. I know - bah humbug.  Dressing up (my children or myself) in costume has never been my scene and I don't like candy, BUT I do enjoy the Dawsons & McCowns' annual Halloween party (and I love that our kids have a safe place to celebrate with lots of friends).

Tate is my kindrid spirit because he wanted nothing to do with dressing up, although I'm sure he'll want everything to do with the candy once he discovers Cole's secret stash.

Our two ninjas

Cole chose his ninja costume months ago.  Apparently Tate, who only knows a handful of words, had a conversation with his big brother in which he told Cole that he too wanted to be a ninja for Halloween.  I wanted to dress him as a linebacker, but big brother's happiness prevailed.  Instead, he was a football-playing-ninja all evening.  And soccer-playing-ninja.  But a ninja nonetheless.

A special thanks for Baca & Grandpa for the Halloween surprises - the boys were very excited.  I'm sure Tate will "tell" Cole how he wants to spend his money. ;)
Sayonara!

  2. Cutest ninjas!! Apparently, a very popular choice this year. Justus picked his out when the first costume catalog came in the mail forever ago too! I've been told we're having a Ninjago b-day party in January too. I love that Tate was not swayed from his sports by the ninja costume!
