Our Weekend in a Shoe Box

(or a nutshell if you will).

Cole's school had their annual Book Parade on Friday.  I had to miss it this year because Mike and I were sleeping through taking a continuing education class.  But Ashley sent me some cute pictures, and the school also posted some to Facebook. This is Cole's class as "Pete the Cat."

Best Buds Braxton, Cole, and Zack
Have I mentioned before that I feel for Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Cox... and for the girls in about 10 years?! ;)

Mike left for the Hill Country this weekend to see his parents, and also got to stop in Austin and see cuties Jack & Luke.  I am sorry I didn't get to sit across these nuggets at breakfast Saturday morning!  I am not sorry that I didn't have to ride 8 hours in the car over the weekend with a screaming toddler. (Hence, the boys and I stayed home.)

These two cuties and I had a productive Saturday getting hair cuts and running some errands.  Then we played outside on a beautiful afternoon and watched all of our teams get CREAMED in football. Ugh.

The Student Council at the Brook Hill Upper School is participating in a charity drive for Christmas presents for underprivileged children around the world.  Everything has to fit in a shoe box.  Cole was excited about choosing great toys, books, and necessities for a 5-9 year old boy. I love that he has a heart to choose to participate in the drive and to give to those who do not have a living room full of toys!
