We survived... and thrived!

Tate stopped running fever Saturday night, and Sunday was a much better day, despite the record heat. (Seriously, I'm thinking fall will never arrive.)

In the video below of Tate, he was laughing at Cole playing with the new air rocket launcher that Johnny gave him for his birthday.

He opened a box of presents from Johnny early, and was obsessed with everything he got - the rocket launcher, a morphibian RC off-road vehicle, and a color tag game.  We played with these things all weekend.

When Tate was feeling better on Sunday, we headed to the park for Tate's first time in the swings.  He was thrilled!

And Cole completed the monkey bars all the way across.

Cole took this picture of Tate and me swinging.  Pretty impressive considering his small hands can hardly hold up my big, heavy camera.

On the way home, Tate was getting tired and fussing, and I was having to reach back in the car and rub his hand and at the same time talk to Cole (and drive, but that's beside the point). Cole stopped mid-sentence and said, "You're taking care of both of us.  Thanks for taking care of us, Mom!"  Melt. My. Heart.
