Boots, Bandannas, and... Bunnies?

We've had [another] jam-packed, but crazy-fun week.  Dad, Katy, and her boyfriend, Gino, all came into town on Tuesday.  We lucked out with awesome weather and were in the pool or hot tub, dined al fresco, and enjoyed the sun every day.

This is the first time we met Gino, and he was awesome! Very nice and respectful, and GREAT with the boys.  Katy is 18, graduates in June, and will be headed to college in the fall. We can't believe how time has flown.

On Thursday, the Second Grade at BH had a Texas Hoe Down -- perfect timing because we had Yankees in town!

The Second Graders square danced! They were GREAT!  They danced two songs and then invited the parents to join them.  I have two left feet, but we already knew that.

The cutest little cowboy I ever did see.

Cole and Landon were partners because there are far more boys than girls in their class, and apparently these two were the first to volunteer to NOT have to dance with a girl. ;)

Tate's class had an Easter party and egg hunt. At the exact same time as the Hoe Down. :( I hated to miss the party, but I have great friends who snapped some pics for me!

On Saturday, we headed up to Cowtown, grabbed some good Tex-Mex at Torchy's, and then went to the Stockyards, where Katy and Gino sat on a longhorn, we shopped, and then we got the heck out of Dodge because everyone apparently had the same idea to get out and enjoy Old Town Ft. Worth!

We drove downtown and had a nice walk around Sundance Square, and hit up some of the shops and galleries.

Saturday night, we dined on the patio at Del Frisco's Grille, where we had a front-row seat for the fountain show on the Square.

We went for fro-yo after dinner, which made some kids (big and small) very happy!  Dad, Mike, and I went for dessert after-dinner drinks at the Worthington bar.

We made it home this afternoon after breakfast at TCU-staple, Yogi's, and a 30-minute detour because we witnessed a bad car accident.  We had to stop to call 911 and be Good Samaritans.  One driver went to the hospital, but we are hoping his injuries are not too severe.

The kids were so glad to be home, and excited to find the Easter Bunny had stuffed their pails this year (instead of hiding eggs in the rain-soaked grass).

From our family to yours, Happy Easter. We are blessed.
