Friends are Friends Forever

I remember growing up and listening to the "Friends are Friends Forever" song by Michael W. Smith.  I still know the lyrics by heart.  In fact, my brother might be the only person I know who can beat me at "Name that Tune" for any pop/country song, but I will win any competition for knowing all the lyrics.  Too bad I can't carry a tune. But I digress...

We have the best of friends. A group of us went to dinner last weekend.  Without our combined 12 children.  WHOO HOO!
The Westbrooks, the Peacocks, the Penns, us, and the Durretts

These sweet girls, plus Natalie and Cori, got me a generous gift certificate for an entire day at the spa for my birthday.  Kelley, Nat, Cori, and I went yesterday, drank mimosas, ate chicken salad, and got pampered.  How lucky am I?!

The boys are blessed with sweet friends, too.  After a couple of hectic and hard weeks at school after Spring Break, I told Cole he could invite a friend to sleep over. He invited Jett (who is still battling Leukemia, but is doing great right now), and we had the first sno cones of the season.  We took the boys for Mexican food, rented a few movies, swam in the hot tub, played basketball, and had the best time.

Tate has great friends, too.  Today was Palm Sunday and our church hosted a beautiful music cantata, picnic lunch, and Easter egg hunt.  Here are good buddies Tate and Turner:

Someone raked in a lot of loot.  Someone with a particularly large sweet tooth...

These two brothers are #bestfriends.

A little out of focus, a little too sunny, and a little impatient four-year-old, but...

Happy Easter! Happy Family! Happy for Friends!
