Ski... or BUST [Updated]

Mike and I sneaked off this weekend to Santa Fe and met the Whytlaws for a short ski vacation sans kids.  As an aside, I like the word "snuck" better, but apparently it isn't a real word. Whatever.

Here we are at the top of the mountain in Santa Fe. Beautiful (the mountains, not us).

Reagan and Brian on a lift

Here we are the past three years, though we've been skiing together forever (Brian, Reagan, and I since Jr. High School - ha!):

We had a blast except for a scary incident involving a boarder hitting me from behind.  We missed skiing on Saturday, and I am still very much injured.  Scary.

In good news, we still enjoyed the trip and ate like kings.  We were able to dine at Joseph's Table where Kayla's brother, Dale, is the executive sous chef.  I had the duck confit, a specialty of Dale's, which melted in my mouth.

The next evening we ate at the famous Geronimo's.  Delicious.

Cheers to great friends, a great time, and a life-saving helmet. Spring Break  ski trip with 4 crazy kids... here we come! :)

A special thanks to Baca for keeping the boys for us.  Completing Thursday night homework with Cole is enough to give her a crown!  I don't have any pictures of them from the weekend yet, but here is one of Tate from the week before we left. We missed a friend's dinosaur birthday party but she gave the boys party favors when we dropped off her gift early.  Tate is now sleeping with these baby dinos, along with his 18 stuffed animals, 5 die-cast airplanes, penguin glow pillow, turtle star light pillow, and two blankets.

  1. Oh, Linds, hope you heal and feel better soon! Sounds like lots of fun otherwise! Love the photo of Tate, too - and his collection of bedtime lovies! We love & miss you all!
