What a difference a week makes ~ last Sunday, we were in the depths of Tate's recovery from his tonsillectomy and today he is running around like a maniac child. It took a full 10 days after surgery for the little rascal to return to himself.
Mike and I got a little break on Friday with a kid-less dinner and bowling night with the Westbrooks.
Fun drinks! A jalapeno mojito for me and some sort of grapefruit concoction for D.
We played couple teams against each other and ended in a tie. I suck at bowling, so Mike did most of the heavy lifting for Team Stansberry.
We had not bowled in years, but it was fun and a nice break after being home-bound for almost two weeks with a sick kiddo.
Next up, another tie. Cole's first basketball game ended with a score of 22-22. He did well considering the kids on the teams are up to age 10, so at 7 he is one of the youngest players.
I didn't get any video and only a couple of pictures (Kelley actually took the top one) because I spent the entire game trying to keep Tate off the court!! We gave him his shot when we got back home...
Tomorrow is a vacation day from school, so I'll be home with both boys. Again. Cole is having a friend spend the night and Tate will be running to keep up with the big boys. Just glad he's finally well enough to try! :)
