Stop the presses - I have nothing witty to blog about this week. Instead, I'll do a short dump of cell phone pics from this past week. I can just read the pure disappointment all over your faces.
Cole was in basketball camp at Brook Hill last week. This is his second year in the camp and he had a blast.
Here are Von, C-Man, and Braxton:
We had Von over for a sleepover on Tuesday while Mike was still out of town for work. These three had fun, and Tate made a new BFF as you can tell: Tate calls him "Bomb" :) Von is 2 years older than Cole, 6 years older than Tate, but loves and plays with them so well. Such a sweet heart in that boy!
Cole and Bomb went frog gigging spearing. Poor frogs.
The boys and I stopped for sno cones at our friend Whitney's new stand in town. Blue raspberry and watermelon for the hoodlums and strawberry-rose with marshmallow fluff for me. YUM!
We also had family portraits made this week in Tyler. Rest assured that Cole DID NOT smile like this when it was time for formal portraits and Tate was busy running away from the photographer and throwing rocks into a pond the entire time. Awesome.
After a short play date at the park with our friends Caroline and Emily on Friday morning, the little monsters had lunch on the patio.
We also went swimming on Friday and took Cole's friend Breckin to give his momma a break with the new baby, then came home and made a meal for the family. Then, finally, DATE NIGHT for Mike and me after a busy, stressful week.
Finally, a shout out to JH & Kayla for a new baby BOY to add to this clan of men!! We are super excited! And more shout-outs to the Westbrooks on the birth of Cruz on Tuesday, the Bishops on the birth of Harper on Wednesday, and the Peacocks for moving into their new home this week. Happy times!
