~Happy 35th birthday to Mike~
The Andres came in this weekend to celebrate and hang out with us.
We had The. Best. Time.

I made a beef tenderloin, roasted potatoes, and sauteed spinach for dinner on Friday and then we celebrated with a Super Bowl-themed butter rum cake made by our amazing baker, Mandy.

Mike had some help blowing out the candles from Cole and Jack. We were smart and put the little boys to bed first.

Cole was really excited to give Dad a new Case knife that he chose all by himself.

Luke-ster is all smiles and so happy all of the time

These two are such good friends... they love like brothers and fight like brothers, both stubborn and independent.  As soon as they left, Cole said, "I wish Jack could stay for A LOT more days!"

I was so happy to finally get in a good, long visit (and a mimosa) with one of my BFFs.

Saturday was gorgeous and we spent all day outside. Literally, ALL DAY. It was 72 degrees, light breeze, and perfect for a million games of Sequence, smoking a pork shoulder, riding bikes, and playing football and soccer in the yard.  Luke and Chris "blowing it up!"

It was also a good afternoon for popsicles. But then, what afternoon isn't?!
Cole (6), Tate (2), Luke (20 mos.), Jack (almost 5)

We went to dinner on Saturday night at Sadler's Kitchen here in town and had some great comfort food and even better pie.  We went dancing, and then came home and crashed after a long, fun day and evening.

The boys played Sunday morning before the Andres headed back to Austin - I think they could all be Crew Cuts models... until it's time to actually pose and not fake smile for the cameras :)

Mike is an amazing and giving husband, father, friend, and man, and I've been blessed to spend the last 10  years with him. Happy birthday, Mike! We love you very much!
