Buzzzzz

I, like Kayla, have a broken laptop right now, so here's a cell phone dump and an update about this week.

 

Cole used to love this ride-on tractor, but now it is Tate's turn. I can't pry him off of it.  Not that I would want to when it makes him this happy!

 

 

Speaking of the Honey Badger, his school had a bake sale Friday and I made some homemade goodies. These are actually soft tea cakes (similar to sugar cookies, but not as sweet/crunchy/thin).

 

I hope someone paid good money for these because it took me a long time to make/bake/decorate them on Thursday afternoon while chasing after HB, his older brother, and the dog, checking e-mails for work, answering phone calls, and... you get the picture. 

 

 

Braxton's uncle was recently diagnosed with cancer and he spent one afternoon with us after school while Drew & Ashley went to be with Drew's brother during his initial doctor's visits and tests in Houston.  These two are a handful. The teachers (and the girls in a few years!) better watch out :)

 

 

Speaking of cancer, one of Cole's  (and Braxton's) friends/classmates was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago. He is undergoing chemo and some of the boys in the class shaved their hair in support because he will be attending some school between treatments starting next week.

 

 

This picture makes me so thankful for the health of our 6 year old boy, proud that he asked to get a buzz cut to show solidarity for his friend, and sad for the family of this awesome kid who is sick. This is another reminder for me not to ever take for granted that we have healthy kids and that I'm baking cookies for them instead of administering medicine.

 

(Yes, I am also thankful Cole has a nice shaped head and a pretty face:))
