L.O.V.E.

Happy February 14th Day! Okay, so we really don't celebrate Valentine's Day - due a lot in part to the fact that we both have birthdays this month and our wedding anniversary is at the first of March. But it was fun to have a little surprise for the boys this morning at breakfast.

Fuzzy cell-phone picture, but those treat bags were filled with heart-shaped ring pops for both boys, a set of Mickey Mouse "car" keys for Tate, and cash for Cole.  Have I mentioned that Cole now knows the value of a dollar? Okay, well not really the value, but he knows it takes money to purchase things he wants (tickets for a raffle at school, books from the book fair, a new Razor scooter... WHAT?!  That will take a lot more Valentine's day treats, trust me.)

I had to miss Tate's school party, but I sent another batch of decorated tea cake cookies and cute rocket Valentine's cards for his friends in class.

Cole's class went all out for the Valentine's party.  And he had enough sugar to keep him bouncing off the walls for the next month.

The boys look exactly like their dads.

In other LOVE and COLE-MAN news, he is now writing sentences. He was practicing at home the other night in the living room all by himself and he ran in to show me this:

Melt. My. Heart.

It was good Cole gave this to me earlier this week because when I picked up the Honey Badger from day care on Wednesday, the teacher had a conference with me because he had been so naughty, pushed his friend (for trying to "steal" his artwork), and had been in time out.  Oh, the HB is going to give me a run for my money.

But his smile still gets me. How can I be mad at this?!
(Let's just pretend they are both smiling in the same photo because that will never happen in real life.)

Sending a little squeeze of love to all our family and friends today - and every day for that matter.
